There are lots of educational videos there. lately, id been watching lectures on youtube, but i dont have much time to watch it all. What i did is convert the lectures into mp3 format an put it in my mp3 player. working while listening to lectures are really cool way to learn.

Dashboard is one of the trademark of Autocad 2008. With this panel, you can automatically see the typical icons you are using while making a drawing. Icons on the palette will depend on what kind of environment you are using. So, if your using are in 2D icons on the palette will be for 2D tools. To enable hide icons just right click on the palette and activate the tools you wanted to use.The dashboard palette can be anchored to left or right of your screen.

by default when we open autocad a start-up dialog box pop-up.

through this dialog box you can easy selects settings in starting up drawing.

but, sometimes if you starting autocad no start-up dialog box pop-up.

to start-up drawing with start-up dialog box:

set variable <1>

variable <0> no start-up dialog box

command: STARTUP

Enter new value for STARTUP <1> : choose your variable

ALIASEDIT

Allows you to create, modify, and delete AutoCAD command aliases

Options: Command Aliases Options common includes

Add Displays a dialog box where you can add a new AutoCAD alias and command or DOS alias, command, and prompt.
Remove Removes AutoCAD or DOS command alias from the acad.pgp file.
Edit Displays a dialog box where you can edit the currently selected AutoCAD alias and command or DOS alias, command, and prompt.
Confirm changes Turns the display of the confirmation dialog box on and off.
OK Saves changes and exits the Alias Editor.
Close Exits the Alias Editor without saving changes. Any changes made before the Apply button was clicked are saved.
Apply Saves changes in progress, then allows you to continue editing.

Command line: ALIASEDIT

Synchronizes one or more viewports with a master viewport. All synchronized viewports will take on the zoom factor of the master viewport.

Command: VPSYNC
Select master viewport: Select a viewport
Select viewports to be aligned to master viewport.
Select objects: Select one or more viewports

Tip:
If you place all the viewports on a separate layer, and turn that layer off after running VPSYNC, the edges of the viewport are not displayed, which gives the drawing a cleaner appearance.

Usage Example:
Synchronize two viewports so that they look like one.
